Topic: ADI-8 DS buttons stopped working after working intermittently

Hi! Couldn't find info about this issue.

My ADI-8 DS powers on, and passes signal, but none of the buttons on the front panel work anymore. I can't change the clock settings or the input or output levels.  I press the buttons nothing works.

I should note that one time i left the unit on for an hour and i was able to have a few buttons work, but then they stopped again

I checked the voltage coming from the power supply (which has been recapped about 10 years ago), I get 15v and 5v, which i understand is what i should be getting.

Usually everyone always says replace or recap the power supply, but in my case this has already been done not *that* long ago, and I seem to be getting the proper voltage.

What's the next thing I should check?
Thanks!
Ben

The PS has +15V, -15V and +5 V. Disconnect the flat cable connector from the front PCB and reconnect it. If that doesn't help check the 3V3 voltage on the mainboard.

Thanks Matthias,

I tried replugging the flat ribbon cable. No change. Where would I check the 3v3 voltage on the mainboard?  Thanks!

Hi Matthias,
I checked the voltages on the mainboard. 3V3 voltage is good, reading 3.3v. All other voltages seem correct as well. Any thoughts on what to check next?

Did you recap or replace that power supply?
