Topic: HDSPe MADI FX dropping clock

I'm having an issue with our HDSPe MADI FX card not clocking correctly. It's set to 96k with the buffer at 4096, clocking to a Blacklight Concentrator connected to an SSL console. The SSL side appears to be clocking solidly.

Previously, it clocked fine to MADI 1, but now it won't reliably lock to anything — it bounces between 'Lock' and 'Sync'. Audio passes, but there are random clicks and pops across all 96 channels at different times.

As part of troubleshooting, I updated the card firmware, drivers, and TotalMix, but the issue persists. Nothing else in the chain has changed.

Does anyone have ideas?

First thing comes to my mind, check the optical cables, it may pulled out or be broken

Incorrect clock configuration, I'd say, both running on internal clock...?

Re: HDSPe MADI FX dropping clock

I will double-check the optical cables, but it's all installed gear and hasn't been touched in quite a while.

I did check the clock on all of the devices, and everything appears to be clocked correctly (HDSPe > MADI 1 > Console > Word Clock)

Re: HDSPe MADI FX dropping clock

If the status keeps changing, something isn't right. Try with the console as master for a test.
