Topic: Where is the manual for Totalmix FX 2.0?

Hello!

I simply can't find a user manual for Totalmix FX. Not for v2.0 or any other version. Is this anywhere to be found?

Specifically, I cannot find any information on what the green (or red) percentage numbers in the upper right corner of the new 2.0 version means... (the numbers right next to the show/hide FX switch)

However intuitive the software is, a manual would just be great to have in any case. I might be missing other functions.

Any help would be appreciated smile

Okay, so I found out.

There is a manual for Totalmix FX included in the manual for whatever RME interface you have.

Totally FX missed that... Of course there is a manual;) Anyways, I still cannot find a manual for Totalmix FX v2.0 and up. This would still be nice to find somewhere. I also still don't know what the before mentioned percentage numbers mean.

Aaaaaaand now I think the numbers represent the DSP load of the effects. Still, it could be nice with an updated manual.

There is also Help in TM.

Concerning your question, Help says:
FX - DSP Meter. Shows the DSP load caused by activated EQ, Low Cut, Compressor, Auto Level, Echo and Reverb. The DSP features an automatic load limiter. If no DSP resources are left further effects can not be activated. When switching to DS and QS modes effects will be deactivated automatically until the DSP is not overloaded anymore. A mouse click on the DSP meter also opens the FX settings panel.

There was never a manual for TotalMix FX itself. As some TotalMix FX features depend on the Hardware (capabilities of the recording interface) it is part of the manual of the recording interface.

But there is an online help, see
   TM FX: Help -> TotalMix FX Help

If you installed Beta versions of 2.x from the forum, then you got in most, if not all, cases only the updated binary, but not the online help.

TotalMix FX 2.x now comes with an installer; if you install it that way, the online help should be installed and accessible.

Whether TM FX 2.x will be updated in driver packages in the future, I don't know.

Please note: I am not sure, but it is rather likely that after installing / updating a driver with an older version of TotalMix packaged, it might install the older version of TotalMix FX.
So it could be the case, that you might need to repeat the installation of the latest TotalMix FX 2.0.
This, until over time, all driver packages change and "support the new situation".

Does the DSP Meter also include Room EQ (for UFX III) ?
