Topic: Placement of outputs (1/2 Master) & Sequoia Hardware Monitoring

Is it possible to put this back the way it used to be?  I find it odd, because now every input to output is off by one; No longer in line.

Even if you left the Master Output control in that position and added a blank strip below input 1/2, or whatever you choose to be the master output would be great!

It totally breaks the purpose of having everything INLINE.  Clean, easy to spot a routing error!!!!!!

I've also had issues with Direct Monitoring changing. But I've read some of the posts, and I will try the recommendations.

Example:  In Sequoia V 13.0.1.30

Sequoia Monitoring mode: Hardware Monitoring.

I setup inputs/outputs 1to1 in sequoia and Total Mix
In Total mix, the Fader strip is setup with Hardware Input @ 0
Software Fader @ -00
Output Fader @ 0

**I have not tried setting all input to mono and all out to stereo yet**

Engage track record on Channel strip.
Audio passes normally Hardware input to Hardware output RME. which feeds a Digital mixer.
If I dis-engage Record on the Channel strip, audio no longer passes to the Digital mixer.  This should not happen!
As soon as I dis-engage a track from record Total mix Hardware INPUT goes to -OO.

If I close Sequoia.... it works the way it should and passes audio again only after reopening Total Mix, and resetting it to Hardware Input to Output again.  But as soon as I reopen Sequoia Engage Record again it happens all over.  I can't do Hardware monitoring at all.

Please Help!  Very frustrating...

Perhaps a setting or preset to have everything just like the old version would be great.

PS.  I'm using the following cards.
Madi PCIe V31 feeds the mixer.
AES-32 PCIe V9
Driver 4.05
Windows 7 64bit.

When working with TM FX there is nothing INLINE anyway. Different number of I/Os, settings or EQ or Dynamics panels opened, some channels in narrow mode - a comment like yours only shows that you did not yet start to discover all the new exciting features.

Regarding the master channels - there is a temporary workaround noted here:

Re: Placement of outputs (1/2 Master) & Sequoia Hardware Monitoring

Thanks Matthias,

I understand that there are a lot of new features, and think it's great.  I just wish that the one box could be inline with rest of them, or at least in option to put it there.

In regards to the Direct Monitoring issue, if I set it up as suggested: Mono In, Stereo out will this solve the issue?

I will be working again in the studio this week and give that a try.  I don't remember the old version doing this.  If I take a track out of record it should still pass audio, correct?
