Topic: AES Channel Status malfunction in DigiCheck?

Hello,

I use a HDSP AES-32(PCI) with DigiCheck to display the AES Channel Status Data.
My AES soure is a AudioPrecision ATS-2.
Some (sometimes all) of the status informations of the "Channel Status Display" show some intermittent flicker.
e.g. "Channel use" switches from professional to consumer, "Emphasis" toggeling between "Not indicated" and "none", etc.
Looks like that DigiCheck has some bitshift problems.
I put the same AES-Stream into a Tektronix-Analyser wich did not show such a behaviour.

Any idea or word of advice?

Best regards,
Uwe

These effects occur with wrong sample rates. Check your settings in DIGICheck (F3, sample rate) and the correct master/slave setup in Settings.

I double checked the sample rate but theres is no discrepancy.

I don't know where to configure master/slave.
The Options-->System Settings menu only contains "Level Bar Update Time", "Color Settings", "Appearance" and "Record" panels. Where is that master/slave option?

In the card's settings dialog.

Re: AES Channel Status malfunction in DigiCheck?

I found out myself.
Must be configured in tool "HDSP MADI / AES-32 Settings".
After changing to slave the display is stable now.

BTW,
maybe you can answer a question I asked some days before which also belongs to AES data.

I want to view the AES user data.
Where are they?

Uwe Andersen

P.S.:
Looks like our posts overlapped.

Mhmm....
Is it some kind of sacrilege to ask for AES user data?
Or is the question too stupid?
Is there really nobody who can answer that question?
