Topic: Standalone MCU with Madiface XT

I've just been trying to set up the madiface XT to work with an MCU controller, so that it can either work as a mixer without totalmix, or keep going in case the computer falls over.

It's going into the midi DIN connection, however the submix always seems to go to MADI output 27.  Have tried using the Record buttons to change submix- how do I change this in 'standalone'?  The 'standalone' midi behaviour doesn't seem to follow what was happening in totalmix when it's disconnected

Re: Standalone MCU with Madiface XT

Iā€™m not 100% sure... but I tried our MCU with the MADIface Pro and the Digiface AVB. From what I understand this setup needs a computer with TotalMix (fx) powered up. In TotalMix you can customize some settings.... However I understood that the MCU was controlling TotalMix on the computer and TotalMix on the computer controls the interface....

There is no stand-alone MIDI support in the MADIface XT.

Do any RME units with Totalmix offer standalone MIDI functionality?

If then it is always a subset of the online capabilities. For example check the UFX+ manual for the Stand-alone MIDI chapter 28.6.
