Topic: Good Amplifier 100+100 with XLR inputs for ADI-2 pro

Hello,
I'm looking for a very simple stereo ampli, good but not esoteric, with no digital inputs, not too many kind of inputs, no home teather, no tone controls, just balanced XLR for an ADI-2 Pro.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

let me don my Kevlar suit and give my opinion...

I own and have been using a Class D Audio SDS 250 balanced amp. Class D architecture with XLR / RCA inputs, and stereo speaker outputs. left and right channel gain.

currently (over)powers a set of LS50 w/sub in my office and if I ever get off my back side and pull them from storage a pair of Klipsch Cornwalls

some scoff at Class D, but I have been running this amp for almost 2 trouble free years with little to no qualms about its performance

update - this amp outputs 125 l/r into 8 ohms

I am more than happy with Parasound A21.

THX AAA 789 was recommanded many times on some audio forums.

..which is a headphone amp. I would think that 100+100 means 2 x 100 Watts...

Last year I bought the now discontinued 2x250 watt Yamaha PS2500s for my son for just 300 euro. It is a professional amplifier, with XLR inputs, and built like a tank. It measures rather well: https://www.homecinema-fr.com/forum/amp … 56383.html (this is its bigger brother, the 2x350 watt P3500s).
If you want something that measures better, there are the Benchmark AHB2 or the various Hypex based offererings. I am not sure you will hear the difference.

I used 2 Audio-GD  Precision 3 as mono bridged. Discontinued products but there is the Audio-GD A1 (2x120 8 ohms).

Hypex Ncore400. A bit more than your 100W/ch into, presumably, 8 ohms. It has a SINAD of 105dB- a bit less than the RME box at 111/112dB.
Also the Benchmark AHB2. It has 100W output into 8ohms and a SINAD of 113dB, which is slightly better than the RME.
I have both at home. They both have XLR inputs and mate very well with the RME box.

I use TPE3255EVM balanced and lots of power

Enjoy...

So you need just a power amplifier. What are the other requirements and what is the budget? 2x100 watt is not that much, after all. Unless your speakers are very efficient I would prefer more power, if necessary at the expense of S/N.
