Topic: UFX - strange modulation noise on analog I/O

My UFX (hardware 360, driver 1.168) produces strange modulation distortion artefacts.
The diagram below shows a 10 kHz signal output via UFX line out and input to a FF400 Line input.
The modulation noise is level dependent: if the signal level is reduced the noise decreases accordingly.
As a reference a loopback from FF400 Line out to Line in is shown.
A similar behavior but to a lesser degree can be seen on the analog inputs.
Has anybody seen such behavior?
Maybe my unit is defective and needs repair...
