In my Madiface XT, when using it with External PCIe the midi over madi port names are HDSPe FX MADI 1 MIDI.   (1 through 3) .  When using it over USB 3, the ports are named XT Midi Port 1 thru 4 (with no distinction for the hardware vs midi madi ports).  To me it seems more logical to have the names aligned, and the E-PCIe convention is more useful in it distinguishes between hardware midi and madi midi.

Just a suggestion.
