Topic: RME Fireface UFX II: Totalmix is loaded, but no GUI

Running Mac Mid 2012 I5 - High Sierra - 16 GB Ram, SSD

No sign of the GUI Interface for Totalmix, It was present the first day I loaded it, now nothing.

The Totalmix software is loaded, there are drop down menus but Mixer view and Matrix view are greyed out

I have sound out of the Fireface using my DAW, but I cant port sound in with external gear( tho I do see the level meters on the Fireface banging up and down.

what am I missing?

would any one have a guess?

I really would love to try this rack mount out, but its basically a door stop at this point

any ideas from the Moderators?

Can you open the UFX II Settings dialog from the dock?

If Im using Ableton Live or Audition ( my Main 2 Daws) no worries, Im getting sound out, But I have no control over the Volume,
I can  manually turn the volume down using the control on my monitors.......GAAAAAAA!!!

So your unit is in Class Compliant mode. Check in the display, Setup - Interface Mode.
