Topic: Babyface Pro Power Supply

I have seen in the manual that voltages of 9V-12V are supported through the power port.  Some "nominal" 12V lipo battery packs put out over 14V.  Will voltages over 12V harm the Babyface Pro?

Also, could you clarify the SKU for the Babyface Pro?

Jeff from Synthax indicated in another thread that the correct one was NTCB-US but it doesn't seem to be the locking variety whereas the NT-RME-2 does seem to lock.  Could you confirm the SKU for the locking supply?

Is there any reason I couldn't use the old power supply that came with the Multiface II cardbus?  (seems to have all of the right specs but higher output capacity)

Re: Babyface Pro Power Supply

The current model power supplies are as follows:

NT-RME-2 - this one is non-locking, but compatible with the Babyface Pro
NT-RME-2 Lockable

The older NTCB-US from the Multiface works fine as well.

Re: Babyface Pro Power Supply

Thanks Jeff, I see now that both are available through the Synthax Shop.

I'm assuming the car cigarette lighter plug and battery leads that came with the Multiface II would also work fine with the Babyface Pro?

Sure.

Re: Babyface Pro Power Supply

15 V at the power input of the Babyface Pro are no problem.

Re: Babyface Pro Power Supply

Thank you very much.

Re: Babyface Pro Power Supply

And what about ~17 V (4 x 4.2 V = 4 fully charged 18650 batteries)? In other words does Babyface Pro accept 9 - 18 V as for ex. Fireface UCX (which I own and adore :>)?. I'd love to stay with RME when recording on the go, powering it with some portable source.

17V is at the edge, but will work.

Re: Babyface Pro Power Supply

Hi MC ,

Is this AC ADAPTOR compatible for my Babyface Pro ?

KTEC AC ADAPTOR

Pay attention that usual DC symbol here isn't the normal 1 full line above & 1 dashed line below - these are 2 full lines !

Sincerely ,

Re: Babyface Pro Power Supply

I have just plugged in a 13.7V 2A power brick to the Babyface Pro. Is it safe to use it long term?

Re: Babyface Pro Power Supply

A, it's the same. This part is the NT-RME-2 Lockable.
