Topic: Using External DAC / Headphone Amp with Babyface Pro

Hi,
I'm not 100% familiar with Babyface Pro yet, but I like to drive the Sennheiser HD800S I have with the Schiit Bifrost DAC and Schiit Valhalla 2 Headphone Amp.
I like TotalMix and the mixing capabilities of the Babyface Pro.

Presumably connecting PC USB to Babyface > SPDIF OUT Babyface to Bifrost > Valhalla 2 > HD800S. Sounds exactly the same as PC USB to Bifrost > Valhalla 2 > HD800S. The Babyface doesn't do anything fancy with the digital signal other than pass it through?

Im not interested in using the Babyface's DAC as it's not quite up there for hi-end Headphones.

Thats the purpose of a digital port ...

Simply try to get experience if and how big the difference is (at the same volume levels!).
