Topic: Digiface Dante WDM no recording input on Server 2019 / Win10 1909

Have tried with a number of USB chipsets, including Intel native (Xeon gold), Fresco 1100.  ASIO and WDM playback work (but crackle) in 1909 and Server 2019.  Dante inputs show signal in Totalmix and can even record ASIO, but WDM has no signal showing where it should in Sound control panel -> Recording.  No usb errors shown.  ISO makes no difference.

Reverting to 2016 fixes for now, or an earlier feature release of Windows 10.

Curiously, if activating listen to a loopback WDM device, suddenly VU appears and audio appears, but it still has crackle.

Check the number of active WDM devices in the Settings Dialog....

Yeah doesn't matter if it's 1, 4, 12.  What I'm saying is that there isn't WDM signal present (but it shows in TotalMix and is present in ASIO.)  The VU meters in sound control panel recording tab are always empty.  Signal is crackled for WDM.  Recording ASIO is clean.

Only happens in Server 2019 / Win 10 1909.  Earlier versions are fine.  Something's broken in newer releases of Windows in this driver and how it interacts with WDM.

That combination works here, perfectly, with Windows 1909. A simple test is to play something via the DF Dante, and use the Dante Controller to loopback the playback signal to the DF Dante inputs. The WDM level meters on the Sound dialog's recording tab immediately start working.

But as you have 'crackles' there is something wrong with your setup/hardware anyway. You will have to check all settings (especially clocking) and USB performance.
