Topic: Input gain jumps

Hi,

the input gain of my babyface randomly umps  to max gain or at least to a higher gain while I use the mic. When I dont use it, nothing happens.
I use 48v and the problem happpens on both input mic.

Then some software like Skype changes the  mic gain...

this is happening to me as well, and I've tried my RME on two separate computers and it is still jumping...

Is this in a DAW on the asio driver? If it’s on the windows driver then windows does try to up gain if it feels the level is low as I got that problem on Skype calls with my work laptop ( Not with the BBF though as I only run asio on this )
