Topic: ADI-2Pro AE and Astell & Kern SP1000M

Does somebody use this duo? I wanted to connect my SP1000M by USB to my ADI-2Pro, using the usual OTG-cable. USB-C (A&K) out, to ADI USB-B (in). But it didn‘t work. A&K is playing, but no reaction at the ADI-2Pro.
What can be wrong?!?

Re: ADI-2Pro AE and Astell & Kern SP1000M

Read Astell & Kern SP1000M's manual page 37 "How To Use USB Audio".

And if this doesn't help maybe this lenghty article about OTG cables:

KaiS,
thank you for your comment. I tried several times the instruction from A&K, page 37. Without success.
Can it be that both items miss the needed voltage? To my understanding, the A&K will not deliver any voltage and the ADI-2Pro too.

Re: ADI-2Pro AE and Astell & Kern SP1000M

I've no practical experience with USB OnTheGo.
No devices here to test.

Choose the Class Complient Mode in ADI-2 Pro's Setup.
Look at manual page 37ff, specially page 39, to select a "Mode" that fits your purpose.

Power supply doesn't matter, bot devices have their own PSU.

OTG-cables are different from the standard USB cables.
According to A&K the USB cable does matter:
"A USB DAC cable is not included with the device and must be purchased separately.
Depending on the OTG cable used, the connection may be unstable."

It should work somehow, else contact Matthias.
