Topic: Turn off ADI-2 to standby or Auto Dark mode

Hi all, I would like to know how many of you are tends to turn the adi-2 Dac fs to standby mode or just leave it to auto dark mode?

What I heard from other people, DAC is not necessary to turn it off and suppose to leave it on to have a better sound. If shut it off then it will take much longer period to warm it up.

Re: Turn off ADI-2 to standby or Auto Dark mode

Having to warm up the dac for better sound is unnecessary. Its a HiFi "myth".

It's not a myth, but still truth for poorly designed devices manufactured in China today, and can be verified in apx555 measurements:

" the unit needs 30 minutes to warm up to required temps.... After around 30 minutes while I was doing other things, performance jumped way up"

Of course, RME device is not one of them:)

Interesting .. thanks. Luckily I do not buy such devices.
Other question is whether its audible....
But as you say, with RME you do not have such issues.
