Topic: Fireface UC at USB port that remains powered even after PC shut down

Can anything bad happen if I permanently keep the Fireface UC connected this way ?

All USB ports of my motherboard remain powered even after the PC shuts down. There is no option in BIOS to change this, nor are there any jumpers on the motherboard. And I don't want to use the power switch at the back of my PSU.

I know, of course, the Fireface UC is powered by an adapter, but still, is it safe to keep it connected this way ?

Re: Fireface UC at USB port that remains powered even after PC shut down

An USB2 plug has 4 pins, 2 for power, 2 for data.
If the UC does not get power from USB, then I would guess that these power lines are not connected...
