Topic: Why doesn't the Babyface's output clip when it's maxed out?

I just received the Babyface today and I've been learning how to use it.

I'm a bit confused by it's volume output right now. The big radial encoder can control the output volume, as can the main output fader in TotalMix. But when I max it out past 0 dB until the output meter is bright red, I don't hear any clipping at all (I have the Babyface connected to a hardware monitor controller unit). Am I to assume the Babyface has so much headroom that even when the main output fader is maxed out, it still won't clip? If so, then should I set the output to 0 dB or maxed out? (I'd be using the monitor controller to control the volume, not Babyface.)

The clipping is there. With the right source signals you will be able to hear it.
