Topic: Rhodes stage into UFX+

Hi,

I'm a little confused as to the best way to record a Rhodes.

I will be using the UFX+ which has combo mic/instrument inputs on the front. I have been told that the unbalanced passive output from the Rhodes is very quiet.

Should I be thinking of using an active DI box between the Rhodes and the UFX+?

If I were to use something like the RNDI - it will provide a balanced output from the XLR. In this case should I be going in with XLR to the mic inputs or should I go into one of the regular line level inputs with an XLR to TRS jack? Maybe it's neither of these and I am going about this all wrong? tongue

Help smile

I use the instrument line in direct, no DI. Works great.
