Topic: Crackling and popping sound on USB

Hello!

I have the ADi-2 DAC FS connected via USB to Allo USbridge Signature streamer running Volumio OS. Since last night I noticed some crackling sounds every once in a while, at a few minutes interval. I discovered that these sounds occur mostly during hi-res playback from Tidal. Do you have any idea what could be the cause of that?

I got little "jumps" (I wouldn't call it crackle) from time to time too, on high res files only.
Too few to trace the reason, sometimes I feel a complete restart and replug of everything fixes them.
I keep an eye on it and report once the picture gets clearer.

My configuration:
• Tidal Master
• iPhone 11 Pro max iOS 13.49, or other iDevice
• Apple CCK (Lightning to USB adapter), version with PSU connector
• ADI-2 Pro

I got în touch with Allo who adviced me to update the ethernet/network driver of the Volumio running on Usbridge Signature. Did that and everything is OK now. Volumio's version is 2.779. I will post here the step by step procedure, în case someone experience the same problem:

Please follow the steps below

sudo cd /usr/src/

sudo wget http://3.230.113.73:9011/Allocom/asix2v0/install.sh

sudo sh install.sh

then reboot the device
