Topic: DSD/DSF conversion tool to FLAC 16/44.1

Hi,

This not specifically about RME hardware, but is related.

I am away from home at present with a laptop and have some .DSF (DSD256) files on a hard drive. I would like to play these on the laptop using the built-in audio, which I know works with FLAC files.

As a result, I am looking for a free tool/program that can convert (ie. create an output .FLAC file from the DSD256 input file, so no transcoding) on either Windows or Linux. I have tried a few approaches online but they all seem to fail when used with the DSD256 files, which it seems is too high a sample rate.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,

David.

I use Foobar2000 (https://www.foobar2000.org/) with the SACD decoder plugin from here https://sourceforge.net/projects/sacddecoder/files/ to do that.

Like helohe. Said. Try foobar.
Or download jriver trial. You have 30 days to convert files to flac.

I know one of the best is Hqplayer pro converts anything to anything.  With filters .
