Topic: ADI 2 FS (A/D and D/A sections can operate independently)

Hi,

I need a mastering grade converter. I'm thinking about the ADI 2 FS..
Can the A/D and D/A sections operate independently?

I’d like to feed an S/PDIF signal from my Fireface UC, to convert it to analog with the ADI, send the analog signal to a mastering chain, then take the processed analog signal to  feed the ADI analog input stage. Then convert it to S/PDIF, wich will be routed back into my Fireface UC.

Is it possible to do this?

Yes, sure, both directions (A to D and D to A) work at the same time.
