Center Pin is +, the upper diagram shows it.
The ADI-2 DAC FS has request for 9 to 15 volts DC, 8W
The unit on your photo says 12V DC 2250mA this means a maximum power of 27 Watts will be possible to deliver.
As it is a German product I trust to these specs. But also I doubt that 2.25 Ampere can go thru this tiny cable with those cheap wibbly wobbly connectors longer than 5 seconds.
Therefor I say yes you can try to use it.
The plug is non-locking unfortunately, be careful.
Wrong polarity should be avoided. I can't say how big the danger is for this device.
After all, my recommendation is to buy the original power supply with the locking plug connector.
I wouldn’t give any guaranty, but voltage and power fits.
Center should be plus, like pictured in the upper plug direction.
But:
• This PSU is “For office equipment use only”, whatever that means.
• The pictured plug won’t fit.
• I would not plug this in without measuring if the polarity is correct.
I don’t know if ADI-2 has a reverse polarity protection.
There‘s at least one posting here where a reversed PSU polarity killed ADI–2.
• I would get an original PSU, it doesn’t cost a fortune and has a locking plug.
Heinz! Willkommen!
This PSU may work...if you're ok with the Qualities of a Fax Machine/Answering Machine/Office Air Freshener power supply
I really think it preferable for you to obtain a proper RME Designed/Approved PSU.
Have fun, and as always...Enjoy!!

Btw office use means not mobile handheld devices.
But you are allowed to use the ADI-2 in every office.
Offices has never enough soundsystems.
Aquariums goes out, we need the place for the DAC !
Hi,
i wonder if I can use this power supply unit with my ADI-2 DAC FS? Which polarity should I use? Can wrong polarity destroy the DAC?Thanks
Get replacement from RME. Not wise to fool around with PSU alternatives for a precision engineered device.
thanks for your answers.
i'm looking for a second power supply unit for the bedroom. i'd rather use an original one or a rechargeable battery (12v).
which is the right one für ADI-2 DAC FS?

or
Easy to see - the correct one says 'verriegelbar' (lockable).
