Topic: FF400 + Babyface shoots bursts of noise on powering up [Mojave]

I'm on a Mac mini Mojave. I have a FF400 slaved to a Babyface. Both interfaces are connected to the Mac but all apps use the babyface.

Whenever I do a cold boot the babyface blasts out some noise out the headphones/speakers. Is this a known issue?

I suppose the workaround would be to lower the volume before powering down so it remembers the last set volume on boot up.

How is it without FF400 ?

M1-Sonoma, Madiface Pro, Digiface USB, Babyface silver and blue

Do I understand this correctly?

You have the FF400 connected over ADAT to the Babyface AND over Firewire to the Mac?

It's certainly not a known issue.

If the FF400 is connected over ADAT (to the BF) and over FW (to the Mac), I can't imagine what would happen, as this isn't the way to do it.

You've already found out that only the BF shows up in you DAW, I think.

Do the burst go away if you disconnect ADAT or FW?
