Topic: OctaMic v1 stop working

Hello, yesterday during a recording session my OctaMic v1 stop working, symptoms are:

- Lost sync with ADAT (as master) with my audiocard (slave), if i play one song, audio work for 1 sec. than stop for 1 sec. repetitively

- All 8 pre channel stop working, if i connect microphone and raise gain at maximum, not have even minimum signal (it happens to all 8 channel)

- Phantom power not work anymore on all 8 channel

Additional info:

- Power supply "seems" work, have green light on and the OctaMic it turn on, 48V orange LED work when i push the button (but not 48V is provided through XLR), reset green LED work if i push the button for some seconds, output switch green LED (Hi Gain, +4 dBu, -10 dBV) work. So only all LED of the unit work.

- I live in Italy

Power supply "seems" work - partially, half way broken.

Time for service overhaul I guess.

If I 100% sure the power supply is partially broken i can buy new one without send the unit for service..

No one can say 100% what is up with your device by reading over the internet.
The service point can do a proper inspection and offer a repair if needed.
Replacing the internal power unit is not a bad idea in this case with the scenario described by you.
And as you can do it at home the risk is not so big.
