Topic: Overheated wire connection in ADC input mode

Dear Support Team
I convert analog signal to digital signal, using record software: audacity
Analog power source about 1W, maximum voltage 8V.
However, after about 30s - 60s, the connection wire is very hot
Please explain what makes the connection wire so hot ?
And is there any way to fix it?

Likely the cable has a short or is miswired for the purpose.
Try another one.

For detailed analysis more information is needed: source (power amp?), cable type/plugs, connection to ...

Does the connection work at all, do you get audio on the ADI-2 (Pro?)?

I check the sound source from the phone and i used short cut wire.
I will try with standard cable and feedback to you
