Topic: Connecting Fireface 400 to Dell Latitude 5520

Hello Guys,

1. Can i use the apple "Thunderbolt  to Firewire 800"adapter in combination with a "fw800 to fw 400" cable
    or do I have to do downgrade by putting  a thunderbolt 3 to thunderbolt 2 device between.
2. This adapter provided by apple "https://www.apple.com/de/shop/product/M … f-firewire"
    Is it a "Thunderbolt 3 to firewire 800" device.
    I think so because some guys used it in combination with the  "thunderbolt 3 to thunderbolt 2" adapter from apple,
    but it is  not declared as such.

My Notebook, a Dell Latitude 5520, is equipped with thunderbolt  4.

The adapter you linked to is TB2, that's why everyone needs the additional TB3 to TB2 adapter.
