Topic: Mac USB driver for macOS Monterey 12.0.1

I'm running the following:

  • MacBook Pro 2021 with an M1 Max chip

  • macOS Monterey 12.0.1

I downloaded Fireface USB Driver v2.23 for M1 chips. I also went through the procedure outlined on https://www.rme-audio.de/rme-macos.html that advises to "Allow user management of kernel extensions from identified developers"

However, I am encountering an error at the "Destination Select" step of the installation process. I receive the following prompt:

Fireface USB Driver can't be installed on this disk. This driver package can not be installed on newer macOS.

I realize there is another thread "Mac USB driver for macOS 11 & Apple Silicon hardware" but thought it might be helpful for others with macOS Monterey 12.0.1 to view a more pertinent thread.

There is no 'Fireface USB Driver v2.23 for M1 chips'. So why did you download it?
