Re: use as dac of ADI-2 FS dac

You didn't make your setup clear.

What do you mean exactly by the term "DAC" ?
An (AD-) DA-converter which is being connected through USB to a computer or similar device ?

The ADI-2 FS has no USB port.
Or do you mean ADI-2 DAC FS or ADI-2 Pro FS R BE ?

Pls clarify your setup / demand, how you plan to connect which devices ...

BR Ramses - UFX III, 12Mic, XTC, ADI-2 Pro FS R BE, RayDAT, X10SRi-F, E5-1680v4, Win10Pro22H2, Cub13

Re: use as dac of ADI-2 FS dac

I think the OP wants a fixed line level output and the volume control disabled.

On your ADI-2 DAC FS you want:

• All DSP functions disabled, this is factory default, just leave it as it is or do a factory reset:

Manual page 11:
... hold encoder 1 and the VOL button [NOT THE VOLUME DIAL!] pushed while turning on the unit. This will reset all current settings to factory default.

• Fixed Output Level – “Lock Volume” on your ADI-2 DAC FS.
It’s an option in the I/O - Button’s menu.

Read manual page 64 for details.

How to choose a good level, read here, Case 1 is for you.
