Topic: Does RME still Repair Broken FireFace 800?

Hello friends:

I have encountered great deals on Used RME Fireface 800.
However, I am concern that this could be a death trap if I cannot get parts or get the Fireface repaired.

I have been googling for parts and there are not very many, and it appeared based on my inquires that unless you are getting an official repair support, you have to buy another used unit for parts.

Is this a good idea getting FireFace 800 used, what are the chances RME will repair this if it breaks?

We repair all units, unless it gets too expensive for the customer. Parts are available, but many only on request, as we do not want to encourage DIY repairs for various reasons.

Just saw this and came here to say thank you guys for continuing to repair & support our FF800s.   This is my desert island audio interface, I just love it so much I bought a spare and would ship to you at any reasonable cost to repair.   Love this device, and thank you guys at RME!
