Topic: RME UFX cannot get sound on MacBook Pro M1 Max
I have gone into recovery mode and adjust security setting, downloaded latest 4.06 driver, rebooted...I can get the UFX (not UFX+ or II if that matters) to work for Logic Pro X, but I can't get it to work for the laptop sound (safari, YouTube, Apple Music, etc.). I have the UFX plugged into thunderbolt 4 (usb C) with a usb 2 to USB C adapter plug. I am running Monterey 12.6. By the way, this is the buggiest computer I've ever bought from Apple. Worst experience with Mac by far. Paid $3400. It started immediately with the most hideous background screen saver art I have ever seen on a computer. Minor detail but WTH? Just squeaked through a DJ gig but that was scary. My 2014 MacBook Pro seems to perform better than this M1 Max. Not too happy. The world is going to hell. Any help on this issue friends? Sorry for long post...
