Topic: Adi-2 Pro FS vs Adi-2 Pro FS R

Are those two units apart from the remote functionality identical or are there more differences? The Adi-2 Pro FS (without R) seems to be out of production and the BE (black edition) not an option but rather the only version available. I got an offer for the Adi-2 Pro FS (no remote with the classic blue RME look) and I am interested what its actual value is. It sold for 1499€ upon release, right?

Difference between ADI-2 Pro FS and ADI-2 Pro FS R BE is mainly in terms of
- Remote (model with R has a remote, so ADI-2 Pro FS R BE has the MRC)
- DAC chip being used AK4490 vs. AK4493
- ADI-2 Pro FS has rack mounts

Thanks, Ramses! Meanwhile, I found the information regarding the change of the DAC due to the chip shortage after a fire in the factory. So, I figure this is not something anybody spots by ear, is it? Those chips are pretty equivalent. Or are people actually preferring the older or the newer?
