This brings us back to post 7 where rawac explained what you have to do after extracting the driver files. You did not react on that one, it seems.
Thank you Matthias,
I thought I reacted to post 7 through all the screenshots posted, as I did try to follow the advice. I apologise if I was not clear.
This is the relevant text in Post 7:
'After executing rmeinstaller.exe /manual there are several files in the directory C:\RMEdriver.
To install the driver you have to ether execute dpinst64.exe (64 bit) or dpinst.exe (32 bit), depending on your system. https://helpcenter.trendmicro.com/en-us … tmka-14342'
I tried to execute rmeinstaller.exe /manual and I tried to locate the directory C:\RMEdriver. Command Prompt did not recognize the directive to execute rmeinstaller.exe /manual, and I found no directory C:\RMEdriver through File Explorer, regedit.exe or a Command Prompt search.
I did however just now have an hourlong conversation with a friend who works for Microsoft. He and I read this thread, focusing on Post 7, and he walked me through locating the C:\RMEdriver (this directory was "hidden' and multiple steps were needed to locate via Command Prompt). The drivers are now downloaded, icons are appearing, windows confirming download are appearing, etc. Success!
Thanks again for everyone's assistance...it is unfortunate that I do not appear to be the targeted customer for RME products, but it has been a good learning experience. I look forward to getting more out of the RME DAC
