Topic: RME ADI-2 FS Vs Pro version for my purposes

I I currently have the RME ADI-2 FS which sounds great.  I only use it as a mono AD and to reference mixes through headphones (Neumann and Senn. 600’s).  Would the pro version give me a noticeable upgrade.  Studio use only

Re: RME ADI-2 FS Vs Pro version for my purposes

RME converters always where to notch, ADI-2 FS is no exception.
There‘s no night and day difference.
Tiny changes on the mix can by far outweight any improvement in converter quality.

Practical aspects are the main concern.
ADI-2 Pro‘s DSP functions and connectivity can make a difference.

What‘s your exact usecase?

AD converter mostly coming from a Neve 1073 preamp.  Also I use the DA to check and sometime mix through the headphone amp.  I don’t have an interest in the dsp functions or really routing

So, I don‘t think you‘re in urgent need for a new converter - to say the least smile

Very true.  But if the sound of the AD specifically is noticeably better it would be worth it.  Not that I am at all unhappy currently
