In Logic preferences / Audio You did select the UCX for audio input device and for audio output device, right ?
And in MacOS system preferences / Security and Privacy / Microphone : Logic and Totalmix is listed and enabled, right ?
In Logic preferences / Audio buffersize is set to something normal, let's say 128, right ?

1) yes
2) Total mix ins't listed
3) is ok
Is the interface working ? Without Logic, just the computer and the interface, can you hear music or a Youtube thru the interface ?
Is Totalmix working ?
yes
hmmm
is a empty new Logic project also doing this issue ?
bbjmm,
you already asked for the same issue(s) in other threads...
https://forum.rme-audio.de/viewtopic.php?id=40349
Or the last one here:

Sorry, with all respect:
Why do you open multiple threads with similar issues?
Why do you not provide any further details?
Why do you not not answer simple questions at all?
Everyone wants to help you, but you should understand that you have provide certain information to be able to help.

nI don't see this help. Here too. Where would it be? You always tell me this and you don't give me solutions except a link to a thread where there is no solution. If you have it, help me here in this post and close the others. ok? Thanks

my problem is not that the message appears. I solved that. my problem is that the UCX has START and stop problems on LOGIC. How should we open a post on the forum. Are we clear? Can you help me?
I have the same issues bbjmm.
Are you on Apple Sonoma? Before Sonoma I didn't have any issues.
Thanks, Huub
MacBook Pro M1 Pro / 16 GB /1 TB
Logic Pro 11.0.1
Sonoma 14.7
UCX II connected directly to Mac usb-c port/Kernel driver v.3.33 / Firmware v106 (Latest Driverkit was even worse)
except a link to a thread where there is no solution
you never answered 7 simple questions in this thread, where you already mentioned your logic start/stop problems (in combination with driver problems). What do you expect? that other people have supernatural abilities to know your environment?
To add: Logic start/stop probs and hickups have been already discussed here:
https://forum.rme-audio.de/viewtopic.php?id=40022
And here:

Did you read them?
How should we open a post on the forum.
You go up one level (where you see all threads from this forum section), then click on 'New Thread' in the top right. That easy.

I read both threads and nothing. I can only tell you that by unplugging the UCX the MAC does not freeze. So it is not a plugin problem or anything and not Logic settings. What can I do at this point? Obviously I tried everything...buffer size etc etc
n.b. driver 3.33
Still unclear how this issue is.
Is Logic doing start stopp by itself or is it you have to push start stopp manually a few times until it works ?
Is the playback stuttering ? Is this visible in Logic ? The locator has stutter-moving ? Or only the sound from the loudspeaker ?

I press PLAY and it starts again several times. Sometimes it starts suddenly, other times it stops and repeats the start and stop.
I would use a demo version of another popular DAW like Cubase or Reaper to check whether you can see similarities there or whether this might be a Logic related thing.

With Ableton and Fl STudio is ok
Then it looks to me to be an application related problem, did you contact Logic support already?

Absolutely. I would even say, its a problem related with bbjmm's Logic configuration or Logic interferes with something other.
But not with Logic or RME Drivers in general.
I press PLAY and it starts again several times. Sometimes it starts suddenly, other times it stops and repeats the start and stop.
This looks like Logic is triggered by something (whatever it is).
Checked MIDI and Control Surface settings in logic? Sure nothing interferes? Checked that no key commands trigger sth? tried a clean project with just a single Audio track?
I can only tell you that by unplugging the UCX the MAC does not freeze.
The Mac "freezes" (whatever you mean with that) in general if you plugin your UCX - or only Logic? Checked that MIDI/OSC Controllers in TM do not interfere with Logic? Or ARC USB (if you have one in use?). Any other (HW/SW)Controllers active?
So it is not a plugin problem or anything and not Logic settings
With Ableton and Fl STudio is ok
This is a contradiction, i do not understand as it makes no sense for me..
Could be almost thousands causes

For me is this. Can you help me? what i do? I have ARC USB. How i check the MIDI/OSC?
thanks
For me is this.
I dont understand that. What do you mean?
I have ARC USB. How i check the MIDI/OSC?
The principle of finding a cause is first by unplugging/disabling everything which could interfere...
In this case maybe unplug your ARC, and any MIDI related SW/HW. Check how Logic behaves now...
If Logic works, then plugin/enable one MIDI related HW/SW by one... and see if you could point out which makes problems to be able to get in further details afterwards...
PS: You can use this tool to see what MIDI related things are going on in your system:

Arc send midi. Is this the problem?
seems your google drive link needs to log in with a google account, to be able to open it?
I dont have a google account...
Edit: Anyhow, without seeing the contents of your link...
You wrote: "Arc send midi. Is this the problem?"
Did you try plug out the ARC first, then see if Logic works - as i already tried to explain???
What is the result??
Edit2: You can use f.ex. https://imgbb.com to upload images which are public available.
RME has a firmware update to change the ARC USB data from MIDI to SysEx. Download from the link below, instructions are in the README file inside. This should fix the Logic issue.

Jeff, i cannot see if the ARC sends Sysex or the "old-way-normal" midi messages... Were you able to open the content?

I can't get it into PROGRAM mode... why?
I can't get it into PROGRAM mode... why?
Because you did not rtfm??
What is exactly unclear in the readme?
How to use:
Exit TotalMix FX. Make sure it is NOT running in background.
Hold down the buttons TALKBACK and DIM on the ARC USB while connecting the ARC USB. Then all LEDs should be lit a tiny bit. The ARC USB is now in programming mode.
