Topic: Driver Update fail

I have a Fireface 802 FS interface, and I just attempted to update my driver from 3.33 to 4.21.  The installer froze while it was trying to sudo.  After several minutes, I killed the terminal window, and the installer finished saying the installation was successful.  However, after I rebooted, my Totalmix and Fireface apps do not start, and my interface is a brick. 

Any thoughts?  I could try reinstalling and letting it run overnight to see if the sudo completes, but I'm not hopeful.

You did check the ALLOW button in the security&privacy ?
And the startup item and extensions / driver extensions switch ?

Yes, I did all of that.

Since posting, I did get a bit further - The terminal window was not reflecting my typing, so I thought it was hung.  I typed in my password anyway, and sudo completed.

So now I have the Fireface USB Settings app installed, and it sees my interface.

However, Totalmix does not.  No mixer window opens when I launch Totalmix, and when I try to create a new window (File->New Totalmix Window), it opens a dialog box where I'm expected to select my interface.  But there is nothing in the selection list;  it's just a blank box.

I've tried reinstalling and rebooting many times.  It's weird that the Fireface USB Settings app sees the interface, but totalmix does not.

I did get one error from the sudo command, but I don't know what it means.
"Error Domain=KMErrorDomain Code=31 "Error occurred while building a collection: Cannot build collection without binaries as only 2 codeless kexts provided"

Any thoughts?

GOT IT!!  Success!

The driver extension was turned off, for some reason. 
System Settings->extensions->driver extensions.

I turned it on, and BOOM.  Totalmix lives.
