Madiface Express card firmware update.

I still use a RME Madiface with Express card with the use of a Sonnet Echo Pro ExpressCard.
Works fine on my Mac studio. Now, recently my Intel Macbook pro stopped working.
So I had to buy another Macbook pro, a M1 pro with 32GB .
It came with os Sequoia 15.4.1 installed. Now my MBP doesn't "see" the Madiface.
I did read on the RME website that there is still a firmware update available to make the
Madiface work with silicon mac's.
But you need an older Mac os version to execute the firmware update, wich I don't have.
My wife has an older Lenovo P50 with express card slot in it. It runs windows 10 pro and
recognizes the Madiface just fine and it works with reaper.
My question is, can I use the Lenovo laptop to do the firmware update?
