Topic: strange behaviour when switching samplerate (AVB)
Hi there
Yesterday, after updating the Digiface AVB, the drivers and the M32 Pro II to the newest Firmwares and drivers, I failed in switching the samplerates via the RME AVB Controller software as well as via the web interface of the M32 Pro II and the M1610 as I was doing it till then...
The new changed samplerate was displayed correctly in the displays and web interfaces, but the streams did not change the samplerate automatically like before. after now two days of un- and re-installing drivers, and trying different approaches, I found a way to switch the samplerates, but it is quite uncomfortable and needs a lot of "work":
After I changed the samplerates of all devices in the Controller app/software, I need to open the webinterface, then selecting the output avb streams, click on settings, and manually update the streams. Then for the input streams, I need to select the Digiface AVB in the controller app, stop it, then I can update the Input streams in the web interface, and restart the Digaface again.
Before the updates, all of this was not needed to do to change the samplerate, maybe it was done automatically in the background, but now I need to do all of these steps manually.
Is this a bug in the new drivers or firmware? Maybe you can find a solution, knowing this, to fix it...
Does anybody have also discovered this behaviour?
Aah, a side-note, this only happens to AAF (Milan) streams, the AM824 streams work just fine, and change the samplerates immediately without updating them manually.
And for all that have the same problem like me, this can be an info how to manage to change the samplerates in an AVB setup.
P.S. Driver and Firmware versions:
Digiface AVB Hardware 268
Driver Version 1.02 Date 04/30/25
M32 Pro II AVB Firmware 3.0.7
M1610 Pro Firmware 3.0.6
