Topic: MIDI and Dante

Any tips/cautionary tales of MIDI being on a Dante network?

I have an iConnectivity MioXL which is a network enabled MIDI device.

I am thinking about getting a second cheaper Network Switch that would go into my PCs 2.5g port (Dante on the 10g), so that MIDI and any control/misc data would go on the 2.5.

Any tips?

I expect that you can run Dante and RTP on the same network. Midi, even with 12 ports is very little data for a 10g connection. But with a second connection it will work as well.
