Topic: RME ADI -8 Pro power supply

Hi all.
I bought an ADI-8 with a faulty power supply--the 5v still works but the 15v supplies not. Im aware that spare transformers are available but Im located in South Africa and the exchange rate and postage make it a bit too expensive for me to buy one.

Can anyone tell me what the voltages are for the colours of the four wires? Im  hoping I can put together an external psu and try and get the unit working again.

I would really appreciate any advice.

The psu can most of the time also be repaired if you can find someone to do it.
Also if i remember correctly the colors are the as on a computer molex only that has 5 and12v. But that might Work if money is an issue. Maybe it Will cause distortion on the highest gain setting. The unit has -10 +4 and high settings.

Thanks for the advice Vinark , I have taken it to a tech. The board looks like it has been worked on, he is going to resolder some lifted traces. I will hope for the best. smile

If its not workable, I may try and build an external psu. My main concern is not supplying the wrong plus/minus 15 voltages to the board.
I can see which wires are 5v as that still works but not the others...

Ok, I got the btoken traces fixed up but the board is ruunning some unusual voltages, up in the upper 30v and 40v so I think there are some issues.

Does anyone lknow what the colour wire outs are for the volatages polarities, Im pretty black to blue is 5v but not surewhat the others are.
