Topic: HDSPE MADIFACE XT Totalmix changed order of devices = routings faulty

Hi,

UPDATE: Whats really happened is the order of my devices have change din Totalmix, so all the routings are a mess.

Any way I could re-establish this so my routings are working again.

Its hundreds of channels I need to re work sad

I had a working system running smoothly on Sonoma for a long time.

I updated to Sequoia, updated my Hdspe Madi Fx, and now my inputs from the Hdspe Madi Fx are not working.

I tried to rollback to the driver 1.34 and hardware Version v220 but the problem remains.

In the system I have a Madiface Xt a Hdspe Madi Fx and a Rme Madi to Adat converter.

The hdspe is locked to the madi port 3 of my madiface xt.

I can route between both madi ports, and signals show correctly on both madiface xt and hdspe, but as Im saying the hdspe fx inputs are not working.

The hdspe madi port is connected to 3 ferrofish pulse 16tm.

As I said this setup was working fine.

I attach some pictures.

Sorry I dont know how to attach an email (drobox link)

Thanks!

Thanks!

Please provide a drawing of your setup, how the components are connected.

You report two issues
1. order of devices changed in TotalMix FX and caused routing issues
2. inputs of HDSPe MADI FX are not working

To 1) Under Windows, HDSPe MADI FX and MADIface XT have different drivers.
So you configure the routing for the two interfaces in two different TM FX windows.
How can the order of devices change if you configure the routing for the two devices in two different TM FX windows?
You should explain the setup in more detail and also what exactly you mean.

To 2) Under Windows, you have two different drivers for HDSPe MADI FX and MADIface XT.
Is it the same in macOS? Do you use an aggregate device?
What is your main interface, and which driver do you load in your DAW?
The drawing of your setup and a more verbose description will help.

Next: you talk about OS upgrades and upgrade of the HDSPe MADI FX.
But you do not detail in any way
a) what was upgraded, driver or firmware of the HDSPe MADI FX.
b) in what steps OS and driver or firmware upgrade happened and where exactly the issues started.

The "assumed" setup based on your information

+---USB3---MADIface XT [cm]---MADI(1 or 2)---OUT------------->MADI IN---ADI-648---ADAT1-8
|                     MADI3                                  \---IN<-------------MADI OUT---/
|                     OUT IN
|                      |     |
Apple               |      |
|                      |     |
|                     IN OUT
|                     MADI3
+---PCIe----HDSPe MADI FX [cs]

cm = clock master (source=internal), cs= clock slave (source: MADI3)

Further Question:
1. You say that HDSPe MADI FX inputs are not seen anymore...
Which driver is loaded in the application, what is the main interface?
Do you access inputs from HDSPe MADI FX directly from a driver or via MADIface XT?

2. You didn't tell that other ports than MADI3 are in use, in your screenshot all ports show sync.
So please detail your setup.

3. I see that not all of your MADI ports have a channel count of 64.
HDSPe MADI FX, MADI1 is configured for only 56 channels. This won't work.

Sorry, but your description for such a complex setup is a bit vague in some points and lacking detail.
