Definitely usual behavior. Keep in mind that these are analog inputs... See manual.

Shows the input noise floor, perfectly normal.

Thanks my Main interface is Digiface so never noticed it..this is on the fire face 800

As soon as you connect an external converter to the ADAT inputs, you will see it there as well...
