Topic: One Issue I've Found with the new TotalMix Design

The only issue I've encountered so far with the new TotalMix design, is when I use (on Windows 11 Pro) SHIFT-Mouse Wheel to change the fader level, instead of moving in 1/10 of a decibel as it does with the old design it has no effect and moves the same distance as without pressing SHIFT.

Not a big deal, but it's nice to be able to hone in on a fader level without having to type it in...Otherwise it looks great!!

Works perfectly over here. Something blocks the Shift key?

Seeing something similar here, holding shift will move the fader the same amount as when not holding shift, however it requires you to scroll multiple times to get the fader to move once.

Running W11 Pro with TMFX 2.01.

Can't think of anything that is blocking the SHIFT key.  It works as expected in every other app and in Windows.
Computers are strange devices.  I have two identical machines, identical hardware, identical Windows 11 Pro build with the same Windows Updates; yet in some instances they behave differently.

Are you running TotalMix on Windows 11 Pro?

Yes, that's exactly what I am seeing.  I hold SHIFT, and scroll with the middle mouse button and it takes a few times before the fader begins to move.  And when it does move, it moves not by .1dB increments as it does in the old style TotalMix but in .3dB increments...

Same OS as you and same TMFX.

I would do a test, let the RME interface be connected to the computer and disconnect everything else.

I have just tested on Win10. Without Shift the wheel moves fader by bigger (as high as 1.0) increments for low fader values (say -60 dB) and lower increments (as low as 0.2) for high fader value (say -5 dB).... Which is IMHO strange. Should not it be vice versa?

And with using Shift... If one moves the wheel fast, the fader moves as one would expect (more slowly), but if one moves the wheel slowly the behaviour is strange... Sort of erratic. Sometimes the value changes with one wheel tick like there is no Shift, sometimes one has to make several (maybe 10) wheel ticks to change the value, but then the value again changes as if there is no Shift. (But evidently Shift is detected as one has to do many wheel ticks....)

I have TM 2.00, not 2.01 yet.

That would make sense except that when I switch back to the pre 2.0 TotalMix interface the SHIFT-Mouse Wheel works perfectly, it moves at .1dB intervals and starts moving immediately.

If there were an issue with the Shift key itself, I think it would show up in the pre 2.0 TotalMix interface, yes?
