Topic: ADI-2 PRO FS R Black Edition and external Converters

Greetings,

i would like to test an external AD/DA that i want to connect to my ADI-2 PRO via ADAT optical.
The converter does not have any volume control, so i am not sure if this can work, i'm pretty new in this field...

Is it possible to control the volume of the ADAT outputs of the ADI-2 Pro?

I think i have read somewhere that the ADAT outs can be assigned to the main
volume and that these can be controlloed in parallel, so that the ADAT output volume
follows the analog output settings on the ADI. Can this be done?

Pick a “Mode“ that suits your signal routing demands (manual chapter 17).

Set:
• Setup / Options / Device Mode/DSD / Dig. Out Source: Main Out,
to control the TOSLINK ADAT/SPDIF Optical out’s volume.

I have received the unit, connected with toslink, set the ADI-2 into
multi out mode and set the Dig. Out Source to Main Out.

Works instantly, thanks a lot!
