Topic: RME HDSPe AES (Suroundprocessor with AES Output 7.1)

I ordered that RME HDSPe AES CARD and wna't to use it to route all AES Chanels thrue an CamillaDSP Software (Windows or Linux)
And feed it again into AES DACS for an full aktive Surround System with 7 2 Way Speaker and 2 Subs FIR Filtered on that CARD with CamillaDSP

How this would Handle the HDCP Copyprotection at all

If you use an
Hyperion DPR-16 that has AES EBU Outs
or the Cheepest option

Nuprime-X H16-AES Only AES Outs aviable!

How this Devices feed the Stream to an AES DAC what happen to that Copypotection???

Is that Possibel to use that Card in between at all???

I guess all AES Out streams become PCM Format to an DAC right? And SACD may be DSD or DoP ?

But what happen to HDCP or Copyprotection than???

Re: RME HDSPe AES (Suroundprocessor with AES Output 7.1)

I'm afraid HDCP is not part of RME audio interfaces.

You have a software for splitting up surround sound into individual audio channels ?
Then this software has to create audio streams free of HDCP.

I don't know if such a software exist and how it works, no recommendation here in the forum for this crackking thing.
