Topic: Total Mix / UFX+ Hardware output level meter flicker / malfunction

Hello community. Any experience or help with this kind of behaviour?

I am having a glitch or bug with Total Mix hardware output metering. When output fader is anywhere but 0db, the meter will pump or flicker. Audio is not affected. This happens in all hardware outputs, and regardless of playback software. Ie effect is same if playing from Reaper or Apple Music etc. Level meters on the interface panel work correctly.

Erratic behaviour started in previous Total Mix version IIRC, and persists even after upgrading to Total Mix 2.
See attached video. Test signal is just 100 Hz sine wave to 12 different ouputs.

Re: Total Mix / UFX+ Hardware output level meter flicker / malfunction

If you try different sample rates ?
At what sample rate is this ?
Is any digital equipment connected ? Madi ? Adat ? AES ?

Same behaviour regardless of sample rate or if digital devices connected or not. Tried 44.1k, 48k, 96k, 192k.

On the FB forum "RME Audio community" people suggest this is a sign of malfunctioning power supply. I guess it is wise to get a spare in any case, as these are notorious of failing at some point.

Update: It indeed seems that my UFX+ is failing. I started to have burst of noise from all outputs and severe clocking problems and cut outs o sound. I am going to try and change the power supply.
