HDSPa AoX D and Dante Controller issues

I’m just switching over from a MOTU based AVB system to Dante and would like some advice.

I’m trying to connect an RME HDSPe AoX D , installed in my Windows 11 based PC to a Grace Design M701 with Dante Card.

I’ve installed the RME drivers, updated the cards firmware and the RME is recognised by the RME apps (TotalMix and the settings app)

I can get stereo audio from the cards AES out into my monitor controller.

I have also installed Dante Controller software , and connected the primary Dante port on the RME to the Primary Dante port on the M701.

When I run the Dante Controller software , it does not recognise either the RME card or the M701.

When I go to the menu in Dante Controller to choose the port (the RME) , it’s not listed, only the built in ethernet on the motherboard it seems.

I’ve tried disabling the windows firewall in case it was blocking the connection, but that didn’t make any difference.

I’ve also tried using a separate network switch between the RME and the M701 in case they don’t like being connected point to point, but again no difference.

I’m wondering if there’s anything obvious I’m missing.
