I contacted Steven Mayall via MusicBee forum. He was so kind to fix the issue.

So it is possible again to playback music content with different sample rates.

This was broken in 3.6 and has been fixed now in 3.7.9663 Beta.

This Beta version look stable to me, no issues so far.
