Topic: Summing with FF400

Hello Everyone,
I bought last week a UCX II along with a Ferrofish Pulse8 to get +8 IN/OUT via ADAT. Finally what I wish to do with my beloved old FF400 is to use it as a kind of small summing mixer and have its basics fonction like vol., pan, solo and mute controlled by a midi controller (Faderfox UC4) in standalone mode connected to the new UCX II trough SPDIF.
Firs it is feasible if yes any piece of advices to get this done properly would be very welcome.

So far I have tried and it works almost perfectly as long as both devices are still wired to the computer, moving the Faderfox faders will move the TotalMix fader as well but once unplugged I get the sound but no any control over its function, only the midi led indicator blink when I push, turn or rise a fader but nothing affect the sound.

thanks in advance

Re: Summing with FF400

User manual page 89 :

The stand-alone MIDI control mode is activated in the unit’s menu Options, Hardware/Diagnosis,
Standalone MIDI.

Check if this is activated.
