Topic: Failed firmware update DIGIFACE AVB

Please help!
This morning, I was testing a setup for a record next week. I received a message from "RME AVB Controller" which popped up saying incorrect firmware. I thought it strange but downloaded the latest firmware from RME "fut_df_avb_mac_272" (I'm running OS 15.7.3 on a silicon M3). When I tried running it, it actually said failed. The unit whenever I now plug it in quickly flashes the led's then goes really really dim (Not off).....I have tried unplugging, different ports etc as per a search. Still nothing coming up!
The flash update app doesn't even load now.
I'm also running a UFX3 on the same machine but am trying having unplugged everything just the USB cable to the MacBook. Nothing.
Is it bricked??? I need it for Monday

Does the Fireface USB Settings open ?
And what firmware and driver number does it show ?

Thanks Waedi, no it does not come up. If I power up my UFX3, then it does but if I am running JUST the digifaceAVB then no.

In the system report under USB, does the device show up there ?

Sorry for not having a trick. I think the unit needs repair.
You say you did test different cables and all USB ports, so the conclusion is : unit is defective.
Contact seller for repair.

You may also contact the RME service partner in your country directly, but at first I would contact the seller, check if there is still warranty.
